Why celebrate it?
In the Northern Hemisphere, the Winter/December solstice marks the sun’s most southerly point on the celestial sphere, the imaginary sphere of stars that surround the Earth.

It’s the sun’s southernmost sunset and thus marks a turning of the year, from decreasing daylight to increasing daylight, for us at northerly latitudes.

This symbolises the sun’s rebirth, which in turn symbolises fertility and the earth’s restoration to life after the cold of winter.

The winter solstice festival honors the cycle of life and death and has been celebrated for 4500+ years.

Have an amazing day, a wonderful opportunity to let go of what is holding you back, and bring in the opportunity with the space to allow it.

With kindness

Dan
